The plan below illustrates the buildings that will be effected by my proposed plan.
The vertical green bands indicate a future greenway that will help connect to the Fairmount park system. Some strategies will include:
- Improved sidewalks
- Bike paths
- Widened curbs at intersections
- Rain Gardens
- Covered walkways
- A commercial district with interconnectivity

Neil- testing this portion of th 40th street corridor could work and interfacing with Kai’s project area and Brandon would also be productive – but I would like to know more about how the “block prototypes” that you have been developing up until this point tie into this corridor condition. Are you considering that this corridor provides the location for more visible/community + commercial programming and the canopy continues to infiltrate into the block? Or does this site situation test begin to investigate another urban form – the “edge” or “strip” – in addition to your previous block/courtyard form?
